Lisa Jamu: Founder, Director

Lisa Jamu, Founder and Executive Director of Stepping Stones International, has 28 years of experience in international development and behavior change. She holds Master’s Degree in International Development and Health from American University and Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. Her expertise is in health and behavior change communications and child/youth development.  Lisa has achieved sustainable results in Botswana, implementing targeted HIV prevention and treatment programs, promoting national youth initiatives, creating social marketing campaigns, co-developing with youth, a successful curriculum for economic strengthening, conducting a national research on child friendly justice and advocating for child protection.  Why SSI? I love children and see their potential and need for protection .

Beauty Mogasha: Program Director

A seasoned leader with Master’s in development studies and more than 20 years’ experience in building and leading diverse teams of professionals, fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment. She has successfully designed and implemented a range of innovative programs aimed at poverty alleviation, education, healthcare for vulnerable communities. These initiatives have positively impacted countless individuals and communities, leading to sustainable change.  Beauty Mogasha continues to be a driving force behind the organization’s success, leading with integrity, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to creating positive change. Her leadership is instrumental in achieving meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Melissa Kadzirange: Finance Director

Melissa T Kadzirange is the Finance & Admin Director at SSI, she is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience at the intersection of strategic guidance, compliance, internal controls and financial management. Armed with a BSc in Accounting, ACCA qualification, MSc in Accounting, and CIA certification, Melissa possesses a unique blend of academic rigor and practical acumen. She has a deep commitment to compliance, ensuring SSI operates within the highest ethical standards and her pioneering work in internal controls has not only safeguarded SSI from financial risks but has also fostered an environment of transparency and accountability

Mmaabo Setshwaelo:
District Technical Manager

Mmaabo Setshwaelo has over 15 years of experience in project design, management and implementation. She has experience in managing USAID,UN and EU funded projects aimed at improving the health and well-being of vulnerable children, adolescent girls and young women. Mmaabo is a creative and transformative leader  who is passionate about social justice and cultural inclusion.

Constance Mogara: District Manager

Constance has dedicated her expertise to empower orphaned and vulnerable children and support survivors of gender-based violence through the design of innovative program curricula and the provision of robust technical and programmatic assistance. Connie is a distinguished professional with a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in Counselling and Human Services. Her commitment to excellence has been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the esteemed US Fulbright Distinguished Awards, showcasing her dedication to advancing positive change in communities and the lives of those she serves.

Tinny B. Seitei:
Community Development Manager

Tinny Seitei helped build Stepping Stones International in Mochudi, Botswana in 2006. Tinny is passionate about driving sustainable change, and empowering communities through strategic programs, stakeholder collaboration, and advocacy. With over 15 years of experience, she specialises in scaling community initiatives such as gender-based violence, economic development, positive parenting, securing long-term donations and partnerships. Tinny has led teams and volunteers to amplify local impact. She has built the grandmothers program, reaching more than 3000 grannies and grand dads in Botswana.

Thatayaone Ntshabang: IT Manager

Thatayaone Ntshabang is our Information and Technology Manager. He holds a Professional Diploma in Software Engineering-Microsoft Technologies and a Diploma in Information & Technology and Business Skills, ICT Empowerment Program Certifications. Currently, he is pursuing an MBA in Information Technology at the University Of Cumbria. He believes that in the world of information technology, learning daily with a positive outlook is critical. TT, as he is affectionately known, has been with SSI since January 2023.

Tshepo Paledi:
Business Development Contractor

Tshepo Alec Paledi is a leader with over 14 years of experience in NGO management, resource mobilization, and community development. Pursuing a Master’s in Theology, he holds a Bachelor’s in Theology and Religious Studies. As a part-time lecturer, he bridges academia and practical theology. His Masters-level training in Education Rights and Policy strengthens his advocacy for equitable education, while his Associate Degree in Computer Studies enhances NGO efficiency. He assisted in securing a million-dollar psychosocial support center from the Japanese Embassy, a 15-seater minibus from IDEAL PREPAID,co-designed the African Union’s Web-Based Volunteer System, pioneered literacy programs, and founded a movement securing scholarships for 700+ students, driving sustainable change in Botswana’s NGO sector
